Due to their particular structure, switched-flux permanent magnet machines have become a very interesting alternative for many applications. This is why some recent studies been focused in the understanding of operating mechanism these via MMF-permeance modelling. However, models that can be found literature make simplifications reduce accuracy when predicting performance machines. For example, are commonly not precise enough with wide slot, because influence modulator primary side machine neglected.
